The Issues Raised in the Meeting with Class Representative Students are Being Resolved

Dear Student Friends;

May the 2024-2025 Academic Year be beneficial for all of us.

On 20.09.2024 at 11:00, to listen to our students' problems, exchange views mutually, and develop a participatory management approach by consulting all stakeholders, the first meeting of the 2024-2025 Academic Year was held with the class representatives of the Programs affiliated with our School's Departments and our School Administrators.

Some of the issues raised by the Student Representatives are;

1) Insufficiency of women's restrooms,

2) Insufficiency of benches to sit on in the garden.

Our School Administrators have taken action to solve these two issues initially and have compiled statistics on the gender of students who have enrolled in our School in the last three years, concluding that out of 1056 students enrolled in our School, 780 are female students and 276 are male students. In the evaluation, the issue was placed on the agenda of the School Management Board, and it was decided that it would be appropriate to open the restrooms for use according to the number of students, as it is physically and economically not possible to increase the existing restroom capacities of the buildings used by our School. It was decided to hang a women's WC sign to open the men's restroom on the top floor of Block A, where the classrooms are located, for female students' use without making physical alterations.

For the solution of seating areas, initially, 6 seating benches and one picnic-type bench have been procured from the Technical Sciences Vocational School. We continue to produce new solutions. I thank all stakeholders who contributed.
